The magnets stick to the tank very well and it is well padded. My LG G6 fits perfectly and I can see the screen very well in landscape mode (before you ask why I need to see the screen when paying attention to the road, I need to use my phone as a speedometer so a quick look to pay attention that I stick to the speed limit).
