This summer we had a housefly problem in our new home; occasional infiltrations of houseflies and mosquitoes that use every drink as a ritual pool to drown or disturb our pets. We've tried sticky traps, baits, and vinegar bowls. nothing got rid of her reliably. The last batch kept landing on us and I felt like I was living in a barn despite keeping the house clean. I was desperate. Enter the insect trap. moms love it. Big flies, small flies, even other flying insects that accidentally got into the house; They are all attracted to ultraviolet radiation. A loud click later and they're dead. Our fly problem was gone in a day. The device is lightweight and portable (but still metal) so we were able to move it to different rooms to clear out laggards. It seems to work best in the evenings when other lights are off, but still attracting insects at other times. Problem solved. I absolutely recommend this device and wish I had had it sooner. The only thing to note is that when it has a bug, it is LOUD. It sounds like a loud click or pop and makes me jump up and down every time. I like to think of it as an occasional reminder that it's still doing its job even if I don't notice a bug creeping in, but I wouldn't use it in a busy bedroom. The rest is absolute silence.
