My son chewed on all the plastic straws that came with those popular take and throw cups, making it difficult to get them through the lids without bending over in circles, and sometimes had to chew it myself. My wife had large silicone bean straws and one day we realized they probably make straws for kids too and here we are! My son also likes to chew on them, of course, but they are intact and the packaging lasts forever. even after inevitably losing a few around the house. They are long enough for almost any mug and require little force to pass the receiving and throwing lid. However, we tried using them in Pediasure bottles and ended up losing them inside, so maybe an extra inch would be nice. However, it's a lot more hygienic than storing chew straws, so we love it!
