I'm used to Pampered Chef but chose this one because it's Cuisinart and stainless steel. It's fine, but there are some minor issues. First, remember that this type of chopper is not a food processor. It's great for chopping peanuts, an egg, a quarter of an onion, etc. You can't put a whole onion in it (or the Pampered Chef Chopper)! Something that size needs to be cut into smaller pieces first. This chopper cuts just as well as the Pampered Chef chopper. Also, when cleaning the blades, I use a washcloth wrapped around a skewer to get into the crevices. I have no problem cleaning blades. Two problems I've found: 1) The grinding zone is a bit shorter than what I'm used to. I can put a whole hard boiled egg in it and it will shred it fine, but there was a little more room in the Pampered Chef's shredder. 2) Small pieces of food fall in the area above the blades and you cannot reach them to get them. The Pampered Chef opens for full access to the interior of the case and is easy to clean. If you don't put the Cuisinart in the dishwasher, you'll need to soak it for a while to rid the inaccessible area of food debris.
