Review on AmazonBasics Volt Performance Alkaline Batteries by Nikki Kelley

I had to buy AAA batteries for the mouse I use with my laptop. I usually use rechargeable batteries and have already put 4 packs in my cart which cost just over $7. Then I came across this one. 0.88 cents for an 8-pack. Money is very tight right now, I believe two packs of 16 batteries for $1.76 will last a few months. unfortunately this was not the case. My guess is that these batteries were found in stock and had a surplus or something and that's why they were sold so cheap. Whatever the reason, none of the batteries had enough charge to power my mouse. As soon as I plugged them in, the low battery indicator lit up for about 2 seconds and then nothing. For €1.76 it's not the end of the world, but I'm a little disappointed that every battery was DOA and I now have to spend more money.
