These filters are very large and heavy, especially when they leak for the first time - then you have to lift them with the wet filter inside to install them. The first issue I had was with the thread adapter I was using - the silicone tape wasn't good enough - I used Rectorseal T Plus 2 pipe thread sealant to get a good seal. Second, I've had issues with O-rings not sealing well. Each filter required 3-4 attempts. All 3 filters were leaking. The two o-rings won't lay flat without a lot of silicone grease. Also, the two rings didn't seal without grease on the rings (I used up all my grease on the last try, which luckily worked). I got them all to work eventually but I had to drain the system before the filters and for some reason one of them started leaking again making them feel finicky. Now they are finally leak free. I don't really like the design - there should be ribs on the top of the blue case to accurately center the top of the filter. There are alignment ribs on the black case but these didn't always work - sometimes when you screw the filter into something it gets stuck and you have to unscrew it, shake everything and hope it aligns! I've considered giving up and not using filters as I've only had minor water issues, but they're finally working now so I've decided to stick with them. I'd suggest keeping a few extra O-rings on hand in case some of them get deformed like mine, and stock up on silicone grease and patience.
