Didn't use it at all on the trip. However, installing it on a flat surface was a little tricky. Because it's curved, it's designed to be mounted on a curved surface, much like an arc. I did not know that. I assumed the light curve was intended to create a broader radiation pattern. Also, because it's curved, it can't easily be rotated to the up or down position to do it outdoors and not face the road. It doesn't come with a lid so I covered it with blue tape until it left the sidewalk every time. Eventually the high beam was way out on the side and I had to completely disassemble the light to fix it. Since I haven't used it often, I can't comment on the durability and waterproofness. However, it looks solid and the electrical connection was very easy as all the wiring was there.
