Useful and attractive day/travel/water pack

I love the look of Osprey packs! They have the best colors and simply beautiful designs. My purple tutu matches my hair so I was happy to get it. I wanted a small backpack (15-25L) for day hikes and on paper it was perfect for all needs. - Capacity 20L (I measured for S/M) - Ventilated back panel - Adjustable torso length. The shoulder straps are equipped with a strong Velcro that can be moved. The mesh pocket on the belt is perfect for a headlamp or a small hand sanitizer. Large elastic outer mesh pocket for rain gear and tail gear. - Compatible with hydraulic bladder - Loops for hydraulic hoses on both straps - Load lifting straps - Ideal for carry-on luggage. Fits easily under the seats and I attach tiny TSA padlocks to the zippers and secure them as I walk through the crowd boarding or disembarking the plane. There are a number of things that don't seem that great when I take a closer look. - The pockets on the hip belt are very small. I can fit 2 granola bars at a time or a bottle of hand sanitizer and that's it - no storage space for my phone which is easily accessible and secure - when I fill my 3L bladder with H2O it's hard to squeeze. The internal capacity has increased significantly - the package itself does not withstand. Just folds over if not fully and fully buttoned. I've used this backpack quite a bit since I bought it and just can't adjust it so I don't feel it and end up with a bit of pain between my shoulders after walking around with it for more than a few hours. A hip belt for which I have not yet found the perfect fit. It helps that I can tuck it behind me when my pack is light and then use the strap when I have a full bladder and lots of gear. I have never attempted to carry more than 12-13 pounds. Haven't needed a lid lock yet, but if I'm traveling through rocky, mountainous areas and need to wear a helmet, I'm glad it has that feature. I'm sure it's perfect for some, but it's not terrible for me, but it's not great either. I use it as an everyday backpack in the car and around town and it works well.
