The new home brewer faces many unexpected and potentially frustrating problems. So you think you've bought all your gear and supplies - you've got a big pot to boil, you've got a hydrometer or refractometer to measure gravity, you've bought your bottles and buckets, you've got enough sanitizer to clean up. Dean Dome, and you even spent money on a wort chiller. When bottling day finally arrives, you sit down to sanitize your bottles and realize you have plenty of bottles for your five-gallon beer. Not only do they take up a lot of space on your desk or floor, but you don't have time to turn them upside down for all the sanitizer to spill out. (While using Star San, you don't have to drop every last drop, but you still want to try.) This bottle drying tree is the perfect solution to these problems. Made from durable plastic, it's incredibly easy to assemble - simply screw the red "claws" (my kids' term) into the plastic base and screw the gray handle onto it - assembly takes no more than five minutes. On the day of bottling, simply spray on a healthy dose of Star San and you're good to go. This stand comes with 45 "tongs" each of which fits into the neck of a standard bottle (45 x 12 oz bottles and I have fitted 25 x 34 oz bottles with no problem. The claws will hold the bottles upside down an angle that allows for easy filling of the bottles with water/sanitizer, and the stand easily holds water in the built-in sink to keep your floor or counter dry. If you also hold the bottles upside down, you can use the bottles store here for a while without fear of dust or other contaminants.The stand is round so it offers much more efficient storage than placing bottles on a counter or on the floor.The stand has a handle so you can theoretically hold it with the bottles in place, although I'd recommend minimizing such "stressed" movements beforehand, which is absolutely necessary - not because the stand wasn't en will, but because of the anger you will feel accidentally drop the fully loaded stand. Highly recommended.
