Review on Black Finish Yamaha NS-6490 Pair of 3-Way Bookshelf Speakers by Siu Siu ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A really necessary purchase, glad I found this product.

. I began to get upset that my cheap receiver could not dampen the peak of the impedance of these speakers, which reaches almost 50 ohms just in the low-frequency region (about 80-100 ohms). And I just can't get the expected and promised bass in this pair. In the review on STEREO they write so - you should not save on the amp. I'M IN SORRY. urgently need a sub! I climbed on the Internet, thought, called a friend and he surprised me by saying that a normal amplifier should not have phono correction at all. I thought again . since the receiver does not make significant phono correction, the sound goes digitally from the computer, which means you need to configure the player, and I got into the AIMP settings. After studying it, I found additional. effect settings. And there is a BASS slider. I moved it to the middle and the room was filled with clear bass. Certainly not a subwoofer, but the bass is really nice, deep, clean, resilient (the case is without a phase inverter). Sub will not take until. I experimented, tuned it up and smiled again =) For a week now I have been listening to my old favorite compositions in a new way, there is no unpleasant sediment left. Satisfied! For 13k I got what I wanted. Acoustics is very musical, it fills with sound not only the space of the room, but flows throughout the apartment! The power reserve for the apartment is colossal. It's nice to have one =) That's it. I hope to help someone not have the same frustrations and wasted time as I did. I'll fill it with filler later. By the way, the thin body trembles when listening, but there is no hum. maybe I'll notice later and paste additional. plywood inside.

Pros
  • PRICE quality for this price sound I read the reviews and finally decided to buy. The task was to buy exactly 3-way shelf speakers for stereo. The budget was small, and it was necessary to connect to the cheapest Pioneer 420 receiver (which was also purchased on a promotional basis). Therefore, I decided not to spend too much, although I looked in the range of 20-25k. And then I read reviews, reviews, counted how many I would have =) and decided to take a chance. When I took it out of the box, the sensations were mixed - nice, decent look (especially without grills), but the speakers are very light (3kg pcs.). I connected it with a cheap audio cable for car audio with a cross section of more than 5 mm2 (about 6 mm2). I took 15 meters in Ulmart for 600r. Receiver connected to the computer via optics. Launched flac in the AIMP player . and lo and behold ! I heard new sounds and instruments in compositions already heard to holes! Sat smiling as if from a trip for the first time driving his father's penny =) (many years ago). But I did not hear the promised clean and redundant bottoms. Arranged as advised along a long wall 4 meters apart. I dug up all the settings of the receiver, the sliders of the low equalizer of the player pulled up. And again, there are no bottoms. I packed them under a blanket, left small windows, turned them on louder and went for a walk - let them warm up for now. After 6 hours (worked up) repeated listening. Warming up really gave a result, but again LITTLE! . see further
Cons
  • thin-walled housing lungs no filler 1st order filter not for all genres unilateral (left and right are not symmetrical)
