Getting good wiper blades always sucks a bit. However, I have become a fan of the TRICO brand and Gold in particular. They cost about $10-15 less than some well-known competitors and are better made than most more expensive models in my opinion. . However, I prefer these types of blades to those with a metal frame, which should be better in winter but often just clogged with ice. I use the same method on my Ford F150 that I drive in the winter and it's a lot easier for me to remove the accumulated ice. They also stick firmly to the glass so they don't leave water stains or streaks. I have bought frameless wiper blades from other brands but I find that TRICO brands last longer and are much better value for money. begins to split and separate from the frame - which will eventually happen. With a metal frame you can have metal contact with the windshield in this case and if you don't act quickly you could end up with a large scratch on the windshield from side to side. This has happened to me in the past and the only solution is a new windshield. With this type of blade, there is no possibility of metal outside of the fully detached blade coming into contact with the windshield. I installed them on my 300C in less than five minutes. Now this may take longer if it's not a direct replacement and adapters are needed, but if you have a clip-on wiper mount installation should be quick and painless. They come very well packaged with blade guards that prevent them from warping during storage so they are nice and straight when taken out of the box. For me, the guesswork is over and I use a TRICO brand windscreen wiper. Blade on all my vehicles moving forward.
