Not as easy to use as an ice tray, but not overly complicated either. Perfect crystal clear cubes every time. I really wish they offered a second tray that made 1" square cubes. Note. After a year of use, it makes perfect clear ice cubes 95% of the time. Those that aren't perfect are acceptable. One weird thing is that sometimes one or two cubes will freeze higher than the other cubes, giving you a clear 2" x 2 1/2" cube. Follow the instructions, the thing works stably. Hot water must be used when filling the plastic tray I recommend freezing for 48 hours as 24 is usually not enough Overall love it!
