Works as it should for kitchenware and gadgets

Love it and will be buying more for gifts! The ice turns out to be transparent and has the size of 4 ordinary cubes. A cube in a Rocks jar is great and melts much slower than many small cubes. It takes a little patience to get the hang of the procedures and it takes time. I take them out of the container, put the big cubes in a freezer gallon plastic bag, and then make a new batch so they never run out.

  • Great for me

Really crystal clear ice cubes

It does exactly what it says on the tin: just put it in hot water and you have 6 perfectly clear ice cubes in one day. I was amazed at how well this worked - I thought I was getting clear cubes at best, but they are crystal clear. The only caveat is that hot water will heat up your freezer and the food inside. I've had almost as good results by letting hot water cool to room temperature on the counter before putting it in the freezer.

Pros
  • Excellent workmanship
Cons
  • Reliable

This is by far the best clear ice maker I've ever tried

This is by far the best clear ice maker I have ever tried. I'm deducting a star because in a few batches I've made, the cube that freezes the slowest pops out of shape as the ice expands and I end up with a cube that's about 75% taller than the other five dice. . Although it is a very well made product. It seems to be quite durable and very easy to use which is a big plus compared to other clear ice systems. It also produces more cubes with a smaller footprint than its competitors.

Pros
  • Alright!
Cons
  • I vaguely remember

I made two trays out of cubes. The manufacturer's materials are of high quality, there are no complaints. The dice were really crystal clear, although one dice was oblong (more like a rectangle) on each tray. This is probably due to the adjustment of the water level in the reservoir. I had a little trouble getting the tray out of the plastic case with the pull tabs on the first try. Solved the problem by holding the container upside down under water for longer and just dropping the tray into my

Clear ice, quick (sort of) and easy

I've used the Wintersmith's Ice Chest before and really enjoyed it. After about a year, the plastic part of the mold began to crack, causing the mold to stop working. I wanted to find a cheaper alternative as the Wintersmith ice box is quite expensive ($120). This ice mold completely solved my problem. Ice is completely transparent about 95% of the time. Sometimes the dice have a few bubbles here and there, but nothing offensive. He also rolls six dice at once instead of Winterman's four. Ifโ€ฆ

Makes perfectly clear ice cubes. Update after one year of use.

Not as easy to use as an ice tray, but not overly complicated either. Perfect crystal clear cubes every time. I really wish they offered a second tray that made 1" square cubes. Note. After a year of use, it makes perfect clear ice cubes 95% of the time. Those that aren't perfect are acceptable. One weird thing is that sometimes one or two cubes will freeze higher than the other cubes, giving you a clear 2" x 2 1/2" cube. Follow the instructions, the thing works stably. Hot water must be usedโ€ฆ

Basically clear at best, not worth the price.

I liked the manufacturer's story and thought it was a lot for an ice tray but would give it a try. I got this ice cube tray after trying the True Cube tray and having problems with bubbles in the cubes. This bowl works on the same principle of freezing water in an insulated container with a "waste" space at the bottom to collect impurities. I've tried reverse osmosis at tap water temperature, I've tried heating it as instructed and I've tried regular tap water and I've had the same results each

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not as thick as others

Still not what I expected

"Cleaner" but not crystal clear ice yet. Since the instructions say 18-24 hours, I tried removing the cubes after 20 because they looked see-through on top. The ice used was frosty and cloudy, making the water bubbles difficult to see. The cubes are not fully formed but are not transparent. From the 2nd attempt I switched to filtered water and 28 hours. Fully formed cubes are a bit more difficult to separate, but not that difficult. Just grab the tray and pull it out. But judging by theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • High scores for support and longevity from testers

  • Annoying
