Review on 🧊 Crystal-Clear Ice Cube Maker - OnTheRocks Produces Large, 2 Inch Clear Cubes in the Comfort of Your Home by Angela Fullerton

Still not what I expected

"Cleaner" but not crystal clear ice yet. Since the instructions say 18-24 hours, I tried removing the cubes after 20 because they looked see-through on top. The ice used was frosty and cloudy, making the water bubbles difficult to see. The cubes are not fully formed but are not transparent. From the 2nd attempt I switched to filtered water and 28 hours. Fully formed cubes are a bit more difficult to separate, but not that difficult. Just grab the tray and pull it out. But judging by the picture, they are still foggy. And a little wet! The freezer is set to -2 degrees Fahrenheit. Maybe not cold enough? We have very hard water. Maybe that's the problem? If it doesn't get better I'll send it back. Not $65 better than my plain large silicone bowls. Update 04/27/21: The third attempt was no better. I used filtered water which I warmed up as recommended and placed the container deeper in the freezer. It looks like it's coming back. Last update 5/10: After trying the recommended hot tap water as well as filtered water, I continued to get partially clear ice at best. I wrote to the manufacturer via their website asking for any advice they could share but received no response. So it went back! Definitely not worth the €70 it cost me. The next product I try is True Cube. At least half the price.
