Despite the negative experiences of others, I was satisfied with my stainless steel sieve. Longevity wasn't an issue, despite using the filter three or four times a day for almost four months. One reviewer complained that coffee grounds build up on the strainer and cannot be removed, clogging the strainer over time. I haven't had this problem, but once and only minimally. This was because the filter was not washed immediately after use. Clean the screen as you go and you won't have any problems. Overall very satisfied, definitely 5/5 stars.
