For those of us with lower or upper back pain, 95% of 'back items' sold go unsold. But this is one. It puts a good amount of pressure on the muscles on either side of the spine and helps them relax. It can also help with spinal stiffness/flexibility, especially when used on the floor (I'm not as comfortable using it on the bed as it sinks into the bed a bit). It feels good for the neck muscles. also, although specially designed pieces meant for the neck might work better there.
