I've used them all on the same type of metal. Half of the drill bits started the hole well, the others seemed too dull to work even when the drill bit was held for a long time. I had to wrap some tape around them to keep the chuck in place since the shank is no larger than the cutting part, but that's pretty normal for a piece of this size.
