Colored key shapes didn't match doors of the same color

This would be a great product if the keys that came with my shape sorter didn't match the relevant door. For example, the lock on the dark blue door was heart-shaped, while the dark blue key was square. My 2 year old tried to match by color and the buttons didn't work. An older child might have been able to match the shape and figure out that the color might be different, but I didn't want them to feel like they were making a mistake trying to match the colors. I contacted the Battat company and they said they could send me a new set of keys but they couldn't guarantee it would fit my mold sorting house or I could send it back to Revain and ask for a replacement. Since they couldn't guarantee the keys, I decided to exchange with Revain. When my new shape sorter came home, it had the exact same problem! The keys did not match the color of the doors. I contacted Battat again and they gave me the same option to get new keys with no guarantee they would match. I asked if I could send them photos of the doors if they could find the right keys. They finally agreed, but after checking their stock, they said they couldn't find the keys to my house. I told them I was disappointed and that I would be returning the product and writing a review to warn others of the potential problem. They apologized for any inconvenience and said they would send my file to their QA team. I hope others don't experience the same disappointment. If the keys matched the house, this would be a great toy!
