In full disclosure I am a newer lifter (officially 2.5 years now of being fairly dedicated to consistent lifting) and this was the first belt I bought for squats/deadlifts. It does the trick for a while but does tend to get worn out the further you break it in. I’ve since switched to a newer belt that is thicker and more specified towards powerlifting which has offered me more consistency and stability. The dark iron belt I noticed I needed to adjust often and sometimes put on *very* tight to be able to brace well into it. I think this belt would be great for someone just learning how to do that but intermediates and advanced lifters should probably buy a sturdier belt such as Cerberus/Inzer/Pioneer/SBD.
