I can really tell the difference in the dust level in my house, it's huge! I leave it on 24/7 and set it to level 3, the loudest, while we sleep. My bedroom is upstairs so I can't hear them anyway. During the day I leave it on level 2. It's very easy to use, just plug it in. The directions are really easy to understand. I used to dust every day, the dust in my house was crazy! Old farmhouse, 6 dogs and 3 cats so I was a cleaning slave. Now I don't have to dust every other day or every 2 days which makes a huge difference in my world! When I need to make a call, I just turn on level 1 for the quieter volume. Then I hear easier. It's a beautiful device and the glowing blue rings at the top are very eye-catching. I think this is a fantastic device for the price because it really works! Will buy another one for my upstairs bedroom.
