I almost bought it because of the video of the kid just pulling it off the seat. After I bought it, I pretty much realized that whoever made this video didn't install it properly. It comes with a set of plastic spacers that you need to attach to it so it fits snugly to the toilet. When the lid is closed, it does not come off in any way. It's disappointing that it doesn't conform to the lid. So if, like me, you have flimsy toilet lids, your child will still force people to lift the lid just enough to reach with their hands. However, this made the task difficult. enough for my son that once installed he no longer fumbles with the toilet.
