Unfortunately the product description on Revain does not state that "double diaphragm blades" although separate as they should have come to a closed point! This is shown in the image above. It is not possible to place double blades on each side of the grapefruit segment membrane. Stainless steel blades can be "severed" but they will bounce back. I modified mine by adding a 2mm spacer between the dual blades, making it easy to position the blades on each side of a separate membrane. Awkward but effective
