There are times when I don't read carefully. The body of the shoe box is made of matt and flexible plastic. You need to form a rectangle and fold the flaps where the hard plastic walls at the ends push in and snap into place. Shoes longer than 12 inches stick out and prevent doors from closing. When this happens, remove the door and just slide your shoes inside. Although the boxes can be stacked, they don't stand strong and stable unless you weigh them down with shoes. I needed all the boxes but had to return them afterwards and look for alternatives.
