I don't know how it works for others. This gives me inconsistent readings after calibrating to find the studs in the wall. Even with multiple passes, he finds the nubs an inch away from where he found them the first time. The whole reason I got this is all the horror stories about people damaging electrical wires or even gas or other pipes. I wanted to mount the TV with rivets, that was the whole point. Unfortunately that didn't work at all. I found a simple but powerful magnet that sticks directly to a bobby pin. So thanks for making it work for everyone else. That's not for me. Another magnet is simple, but cheaper and much more effective.
