If your CV passenger axle needs replacing, try prying it off for 10 minutes after removing the retaining ring. If it doesn't come out, it's probably rusty and more trouble than it's worth. Simply use a thick Milwaukee Torch or Diablo Steel Demon metal reciprocating saw to cut through the axle on each side of the bracket to gain access to the bracket screws. This bracket has no mounting screws but has a new locking ring as shown. Fits perfectly, like a native mount.
