Perhaps the company thinks it's 'easy' to use to sharpen tools or scissors. However, my experience is very similar to other reviewers' comments: I tried sharpening my kitchen shears, which could cut, but I wanted them to be sharper. Unfortunately, they are no longer able to cut and chew objects that previously could make a clean but slow cut. Disappointing, but it's my own fault for taking the advice of the obvious "sharpening experts" instead of listening to people like me. boo hoo . .
