This is a very stable bookshelf that is easy to assemble. For book storage, the top two shelves allow books to be leaned against the edge. On the third and fourth shelves, the hole is quite large, so unless you have a really big book, you'll need to get a bookend or lay the books horizontally. Or you may choose not to put books on your shelves. When assembling the shelves, make sure the small piece you insert has the screwdriver slot facing out, otherwise you won't be able to adjust it. When determining how to fit the two pieces together on each side, you need to think logically about the shape rather than where the indentations on the holes go. When assembling the shelves I found it easier to screw the shelves to the frame when the connections were in the air rather than on the ground. i love this block
