This is a plastic knob that feels hollow and hollow, but it seems to hold up to the stress my car without power steering would put on it. I have two negative comments: a) If you have a very thin (small diameter) steering wheel, this product will not fit tightly. This shouldn't be the case for most users, but it was the case for me. I had to find a much thicker hub material to take up the sag. b) The handle wobbles/rattles/moves. it should spin naturally (which it does), but it shouldn't wobble. You want that part to act like it's part of the steering wheel, and the fact that it rattles and has play erodes that confidence.
