Review on LG Ultragear 27GN95B B 4K Gaming Monitor with Adaptive Sync: Review and Features by Cody Henry

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Outstanding image quality, narrow bezels and great RGB lighting

This is a business version of the 27GN950-B, however unlike other brands this is a 1:1 scale copy of its brother. Pros: Excellent image quality, one of the best in its price range. Super small frames. . I love that they finally got rid of the Acer logo at the bottom of the monitor. A huge difference can be seen in the left monitor frame (also another 27 inches from Acer). - Mount Vesa at the site. I have a dual monitor setup so I didn't check for enabled support. However, it works great with monitor arms. It uses 100 x 100mm mounts. - RGB is quite bright. I like how it reflects RGB colors on the wall behind the monitor. - Good calibration. I will buy a calibration tool later to properly calibrate the monitor. however, seems pretty accurate by default. Cons: - Affordability. I've been looking for this monitor since December last year but it wasn't available at all. I finally got it a month ago and almost at MSRP ($840) - HDR 600. I wasn't expecting this monitor to work well with HDR content. That's how it was, it doesn't work well. In my opinion, the colors look too warm and look washed out. HDR is a cool feature, but this product seems like just a marketing gimmick. I wouldn't recommend buying this monitor if you plan on consuming HDR content on it. - Hidden documentation. RGB lighting requires software setup, LG Ultra Gear Control Center, but it's not mentioned anywhere! I had to do some research to finally find this. Overall a great monitor. I plan to buy another one to match my dual monitor setup. Hoping to find stock at or near MSRP.
