as soon as I saw the package I suspected that the item would be damaged. I was right. Something broke through the thin box it was packed in. No bubble wrap, nothing to protect this paper item! The top flap had a hole through both layers of the briefcase. it's definitely not red. Rather, it looks like a faded industrial brick. I like braided handles. the size is perfect for me. He makes an accordion at the bottom to expand and hold more leaves, but someone in another preview said a drawing pad was in there and the pen broke. Pros: good size, comfortable handles, easy to open and close, expandable bottom. Cons: not well packaged, arrived damaged. it is not an attractive color. The only thing holding the flap down are the handles. could use velcro or two. not intended for the long haul or the true pro. this works for me as I carry nothing with me except rice paper pictures. Actually, I wouldn't carry it around with me. I will sit in the corner and protect my paintings until I die and am discovered posthumously.
