Sony has an interesting way of making lenses. Their lenses on the lower end are really cheap and inexpensive. Their more expensive lenses are excellent quality and very expensive. I really haven't found anything in the mid-range that offers quality at a reasonable consumer price point like Canon and Nikon or even Sigma/Tamron lenses. Unfortunately, this lens belongs to the lower class. In my case, one of the elements was not right-aligned, resulting in the left side of the photo being blurry and the right side being sharp. Any photo. I may have come across a bad copy, but it shaped my attitude towards Sony lenses. If you're in the e-mount ecosystem, make sure to research and read reviews of each lens before you buy.
