Got them two years ago and still have them after working as a neighborhood news collector and walking 6 miles every day. They breathe very well, so your concerns about sweaty feet are gone. Winter isn't great if you live up north, but I wouldn't recommend running shoes for hiking in freezing, snowy 20-degree weather anyway. Very little wear at the time of writing. The rubber tip on the top of the shoe has started to peel off, but this is for cosmetic purposes only.
