Review on πŸͺš Carpeted Surface Furniture Sliders - Self-Stick (4 piece) 1/2" x 4" Bar SuperSliders by Corey Greene

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great way to move heavy furniture over carpet.

I've tried many different carpet glides over the years and so far the Waxman brand is way ahead of everyone else in providing a gliding surface that works well after the play is long Time stood in one place and drowned in the carpet. Other brands I've tried work when you first put them on, but once the piece is in place and sinks into the carpet pile, they have no way of getting out of the sink, they dig in and the part at the bottom can also be nothing. The curved edge of the Waxman design makes it pop out of the sink when you press on the furniture. These sticks are the only solution I've found that works when furniture doesn't have sharp corners or legs to use triangles or circles. on the. If it's a heavy bookshelf or a large desk, be prepared to use a lot of them, because each stick doesn't have enough sliding surface, but if there's enough, a heavy object will move easily. The only downside I can think of is not using these or other teflon glides on hardwood floors. They tend to pick up grains of sand or whatever and scratch themselves and the ground. They are only for carpets. Use felt pads for hardwood. But with carpet shipping, these things are secondary when someone else is shipping the furniture for you.

Pros
  • Best in its niche
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
