Braun Beard Trimmer

It seems obvious but it's definitely not a razor, it's a beard trimmer. If you're looking for something that will give you a close shave, keep looking. It's just not designed to do the same job as a rotary or foil razor. However, I really like this Braun model because it is designed for a beard trimmer. It cuts much better than the trimmer that comes with many popular razors. I also find the design of this trimmer to be better than multi-purpose trimmers with interchangeable heads. It uses a single trimmer blade and guide comb that locks into place and requires no adjustment. The length adjustment feature on this Braun model is much better than the Norelco trimmer I had before. The simpler the better. To change the length of the trimmed beard, you don't have to move the guide comb, just turn the length dial to the desired number. For a different cut you can simply remove the guide attachment for direct contact with the edge of the trimmer blade. No frills, it's just a beard trimmer. No charging station or carrying case. There are no accessories for normal shaving or other types of trimming. However, I appreciate the simplicity of not needing interchangeable guide combs to change the length of hair being trimmed. The trimmer guide comb that comes with it is quite short but seems fine for trimming short to medium length beards. It's not the best choice if you're looking for a regular razor or combination trimmer, but it's a great dedicated beard trimmer. With this particular model, you don't pay for many extra attachments and accessories that you may not need or use infrequently. While I've seen some complaints about the battery life of this device, I haven't had any issues. So far the battery life has been as good if not better than any cordless rechargeable shaver I've owned. Unfortunately, all of these types of devices are essentially disposable if the battery cannot hold a charge. So it definitely makes sense to buy the most economical one possible in order to be cost-effective. I think the price-performance ratio of this beard trimmer from Braun is very good.
