Very thin metal, it flexes with little pressure and doesn't hold securely.
I have purchased dozens of these brick hooks in the past and they have always been of high quality. This last batch is much more brittle, made of thinner metal, and bends too easily. This causes the clamp to barely hold the brick. I use it for Christmas decoration. I actually used clips to hold the jewelry in place. It only weighs a few grams but tends to catch the wind. I fastened them very tightly and found that even a light wind could snag the decoration and easily tear the staples from the bricks. Make sure you order a quality brick clip.
