This is a pretty good pull rod bar. I can only speak about my own weight but at 160lbs he is very stable. The included handles are good but can be removed if desired (Velcro). Installation wasn't too difficult, although you will need a drill to screw in the metal brackets. Some reviews mentioned it would hold up without the clips but I didn't want to risk it. I'd give it a solid 5 if there was a way to lock the bar rotation once you got it in a good spot. . If you've rotated the barbell to one side to tighten it, and your grip rotates it the other way during a pull-up or pull-up, you can relax the tension it's holding. I remember another review mentioning this and I can confirm that it is possible if you don't over tighten it (much easier with mounting brackets). It's easy enough to face the opposite direction when you need to change your grip for a different exercise. I just wish I didn't have to remember this, but don't let that put you off getting this (unless there's the exact same thing blocking the rotation).
