Review on Video card MSI Radeon RX 570 ARMOR 8GB OC, Retail by Micha Pirecki ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Everything in the purchase suits, a very necessary product.

Perfectly complements the home PC now. Previously, for some time there was a GTX 1070, also from MSI, performed by Gaming. So - either the cooling system is better there, or the Radeon gets very hot under load. Accordingly, the RX 570 makes more noise - 3500 rpm at a temperature of 75 degrees (The Witcher 3, AC Origins - all settings are maximum, screen resolution is 2560 × 1440). Upon a cursory examination of the board, I was surprised that the right side (about 20% of the area) apparently is not used at all, which means that the video card could be shorter with the same CO. By the way, it is not ideal - the heat pipe, although thick, is generally one for each section. At idle in the case 40-45 degrees. Now about overclocking: if you overclock the processor (1268 → 1400), which is + 50% to the power consumption limit for stable 1400 MHz, then the temperature easily approaches 80 ° C, and the increase in FPS is only 2-3%. In addition, to maintain 1268 MHz without drawdowns, the standard power limit is not enough, the frequency drops to 1250 under load. But the memory overclocking succeeds with a bang: from 7000 (1750x4) to 8800 (2200x4) and already adds 8-9% FPS. And it has no effect on the temperature. In synthetic tests, the difference is even greater. As a result, I decided to leave the following config: - GPU 1268MHz - Memory 8800MHz (2200×4) - Power limit +10% Overclocking results in the built-in AC Origins bench (before - now)

Pros
  • Adequate price (at the time of purchase - early November) Overclocks well, especially memory () Calm design and lack of backlight Silent at < 60 degrees Memory
Cons
  • heated Noisy under load Low performance gain when overclocking GPU only

Its money (around 10 thousand) is definitely worth it.

I play on a widescreen monitor, 2560x1080, "eats" all the new items, no problem.

Different pros: Memory capacity, power, pure power for the money. Got cons: Stingy appearance, well, this is a prejudice)
