Review on DEWALT Dwa4204 Titanium Oscillating Nails by Ryan Chaplain

Revainrating 2 out of 5

A modest improvement over the standard blade but not worth the difference in price

Given the DeWalt name I was a little disappointed with this product. The titanium coating on the blade provided a slight improvement in durability over the standard blade, but predictably the teeth still dulled after four or five uses and were almost completely worn away by the fifteenth use. I was hoping that his statement that he cuts "wood with nails" meant he would melt through the nails unscathed. It's not like this. I've been looking for an oscillating blade hard enough to stay reliably sharp for many (say 50-100) uses, but haven't found one yet. And it's not.

Pros
  • Stylish and modern design
Cons
  • New competition has arrived
