The top corners of this stool are SO SHARP! You can feel the wood almost penetrating the fabric. I ran into this beast the first week I had it in my living room and the stitch angle caught my knee leaving a big ole bruise and a CUT in the skin. WHICH TYPE!? Yes, now I can say "I was cut with an ottoman". Also, it's not a durable upholstery fabric, but a cheap, thin synthetic. Looks nice but could be done a lot better. There's a lot of storage space inside and I can fit a lot of blankets in it, so at least it does the job. If you buy it, leave it outside for a day or two to get rid of the toxic smell it has.
