great little containers but not airtight

These little containers are perfect for portioning dry snacks like nuts or chocolate chips which is what I use them for. Filled to the brim, they hold about 1/3 cup. They're made of lightweight plastic and weigh about the same as those black restaurant containers with clear lids that are *not* thick like Tupperware. The lids on them don't "snap"; They simply push down and are held in place by friction. They are *not* hermetic; I wouldn't even call them airtight. If you fill one with water, put the lid on and hold it sideways, the water slowly drips off. You could get away with using them for liquids *as long* the containers stand upright and level like in a fridge, but that's not the kind of thing you can fill with salad dressing and toss in a lunch bag to be pushed around . Please note that all containers are made of transparent plastic. The product photo might lead you to believe they come in different colors, but they are all clear. They are also great for storing small items like screws, nails, buttons, beads, etc.
