I'm not 100% sure what I think about this product. It is a double oil splash guard with a thin layer of odor absorbing mesh. I totally agree with the dual screen. The scent net seemed like a good idea, but it actually traps a lot of steam in the pan. So when I tried to sear the chicken and thighs, the top layer was already starting to cook from the steam and heat being trapped. along with a puddle of water that began to gather. This can be good or bad depending on what you're cooking. Egg? Not that bad. An expensive cut of dry-aged ribeye that's also the fattiest and smokiest dish I cook? Probably not. I also wanted to use this to make stovetop popcorn in my pot. I have to use a lid that lets steam through so the popcorn doesn't get wet and I used an inverted metal strainer. Thought the screen would work for this too, but since it traps all the vapor inside it's really pointless. Take what you want from it. I thought I would enjoy all the features of this screen but I'm not sure how often I'll use it as it steams my food :/
