They are nice and thick. The carpet in the Bolt EV isn't really the best, it moves and is pretty thin. Factory floor mats are pretty flimsy and cheap. Their installation helps hold the rug in place, weighs it down to give it the right shape, and protects it. To be honest, if you have a Bolt EV and plan to keep it for a long time, this is a great investment. I only bought the front mats and I have a bit of regret that I didn't get the front + rear ones.
