I got this PWM Fan Hub Splitter for Motherboard 4 Pin with Shroud Black 5 Pin PC CPU Cooler Case Fan Extension Cable 40cm/15.7 inch Computer Cooler Case Fan Adapter Cable, for my old PC -Desktop. I wanted it to run in good condition, so I added a few extra fans to the case in specially designated spots. I've found that there aren't enough fan connectors on the motherboard to use all the fans. This little device saved the day (and probably my computer too) and at a very low price. I liked that the kit included a circuit board that could power the CPU fan and 4 other fans. They put glue on the back of the board so I could place it in a good spot. I found that I had to remove 2 memory chips (of course the PC is unplugged) to get to the CPU fan header. Then I carefully trimmed the plastic tie containing the extra CPU fan cable to get the length needed to place the splitter board in a convenient place in the case. I took my time installing the fans in their respective slots and reseating the memory chips into the motherboard. I closed the PC case, plugged in all the ports and cables and was very happy to see and hear all the fans in my case working. It's a 5-star way to keep your desktop cool and working properly. There are no instructions as it's pretty easy. If you're new to PC upgrades and repairs, this is a good first lesson to move forward. Just take your time and everything will be fine.
