Great Thing: Aquarium Water Treatment

For those who don't know, this is the powder form of Seachem Prime. I change the water in my discus tank almost daily and it is much more economical than the Prime. I've done a lot of research on this product and here are some great tips straight from Seachem: Calculate the amount of Safe to use based on the total volume of water you are dechlorinating. Example: If you are changing 20 gallons of water in a 100 gallon tank, you still need to use enough safe to handle 100 gallons of water. Prime contains preservatives that allow it to retain its potency in its liquid form. There is no safe. In other words, you don't have to premix Safe in a container and use it like Prime. If you have chloramines (as opposed to chlorine) in the water you are treating, you should dose twice what the label says. Unfortunately, this can be a bit difficult to understand. Many water utilities post lab test results on their websites and/or mail them to their customers. You can also try calling them. I believe there are also test kits that test for the presence of chloramine. It's worth noting that not all dechlorinators remove chloramine. Secure and premium fit. I'm using https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B0006GNYM4/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 for the safe dimension.
