I already had an xx gram scale from this company and it worked well enough so I also got this second scale from them which has an accuracy of x.xx grams. My goal was to spend no more than $20 on a scale that looks good but is not only accurate but can handle a lot of weight. Your xx gram scale holds 3000 grams, which is 6.5 pounds, while the x.xx gram scale holds 500 grams, which is just over a pound. Both scales are the same size, so they fold well and are easy to clean. The auto-shutoff feature lasts longer than my last sub-$20 scale, which ran short before shutting off. The only thing on scales this size is the weight type (grams, carats, etc.) isn't very easy to read, so I'm nervous I might accidentally switch types while measuring and not notice. So (as you can see in my photo) I marked with a marker where "grams" is measured since I never want to change that. So compare to sub-$20 scales, but these two together cover hundredths of a gram up to 6.5 pounds, but the scale is minimal wallet-sized.
