Recently I finally got to use this SUV. But not for a car. I was on my dual purpose bike when I happened to be in a muddy ravine. My bike weighs about 290 pounds and I weigh 140 pounds. I had no traction at all and dug deeper and deeper into the dirty creek. My buddy had a set on a UTV. They fit perfectly between the front and rear wheels of the motorcycle. I can cut them in half and tie the halves together to make them more wearable. I can then strap my bike on for future use. I don't know how they will handle heavier vehicles. But I think this is a great option for adventure bike enthusiasts who want a lightweight and portable option. I'm sure there are other bike options but these fit me when I needed them.
