I am 5'10" and ordered an XXL, though Revain suggested an XL. I bought this dress in July 2020, right in the middle of the quarantine. I sized up in fear of my weight gain showing, but it is actually bigger than I needed. The funny thing is it still looks pretty good as an oversized dress. The only concern I had is the immobility in the top part (shoulders/arms). It's not that the dress is stiff, it's more like it feels fragile. I have bigger shoulders than most women, so if I move my arms/shoulders too much, I'm worried about ripping the fabric. The fabric is like a set-up from Forever21's clothing. That being said, it was still beautiful, lightweight, and a great length for someone on the taller side.
