The best Christmas present!

This dollhouse was a Christmas hit with both my 3 year old daughter and 18 month old son. This dollhouse is very large, so read the dimensions! The size was one of the reasons we chose this house. Both children can play with it without disturbing each other. This dollhouse is very durable. I caught my two kids climbing and there was no sign of damage. Not that I would condone climbing it, but it's not a plastic Barbie dream house that can easily collapse. It comes with fasteners to attach it to the wall. One disappointment, however, is the location of the pool. My daughter has to stand on the "terrace" to access the upper bedroom. It doesn't matter as it seems pretty sturdy, but I would like the patio to be a bit shorter so it doesn't take up 75% of the front of the house. Although you can move it. It is not connected to the main dollhouse. But still huge. In my photo you can see it from the side. Some helpful assembly tips: - Have a couple of LR44 batteries and a small screwdriver handy. Both the toilet and the piano came with dead batteries. I think each item needs 3, so you need 9 total for all items (there is also a light that lights up). While I could be wrong and there might only be 2, I'm pretty sure there are 3. - Take the time to organize your parts before you start putting them together. Expand ALL furniture. There are parts that you must collect by hiding them in other parts! Also, be careful when unpacking. There is a small silvery piece of plastic that can easily be lost making it impossible to attach the ladder to the deck. Arrange the parts of the house in numerical order. That saves you some common sense. If you spend about 20 minutes preparing for assembly, you're better off. Have Vaseline and cotton swabs handy. Use it to lubricate the inside of an elevator track. This will change the world! Use a drill or an electric screwdriver. Go and buy a cheap one if you don't have one. You really don't want to assemble it without one. Electric screwdrivers are quite cheap and worth it in this case! Look at the screws before assembly to see what you have. The instructions simply say to use the "A" screw but make no mention that the A screw comes in pink, brown, gray and green. Just like any other screw. We have a few that aren't where they should be, but not many. If you just notice that the different parts of the screws are still the same, you won't make the same mistake. Hope. If you do, it's not the end of the world. I know the instructions weren't very clear several times. Do not hurry. Take your time and look at the parts it references. If that seems confusing, just think of the space he's trying to create and adjust things. We assembled it on Christmas Eve and it took about 3.5 hours. We used to have nowhere to store it, so we had to collect it in one night.
