I received this cable holder to replace another version that I accidentally broke. After about 6 months of use, I like the style of my old one again. This cord holder does a great job of keeping the cords in place, but I'm concerned about long-term strain on the cords. Inserting the cable into the clamp is not easy, even if the cable is narrow (such as the iPhone cable). So removing the cables is also a bit of a hassle. I'll keep using this, but I'll just be very careful not to be too aggressive. Some people probably don't remove the cables from the holder very often or at all, and for them I think this version is great. For those who plan on removing the cables from the bracket for frequent use, I would recommend some type of bracket where the cable ends simply rest against the bracket, but are not "held" in it.
