I had two 18 year old IDE hard drives with data I wanted to extract. I hooked up this unit using the picture (attached to this review) as a guide (the other reviewers were right, it comes with no instructions). Jumper the IDE drive as the main drive (this was recommended by other reviewers and DID matters, I also plugged it in after the main drive) and I was able to read and get whatever I wanted. Great price, fast delivery, everything works as it should!
